The Reminder field is to be used in coordination with the 🟠 2 - On Hold status, it enables hiding (snoozing) the task until the specified date.

<aside> 🧠 The Reminder is the date you’ll re-assess the 🟠 2 - On Hold ****status and not the date you’ll work on the task.

<aside> ‼️ When updating the status to 🟠 2 - On Hold, the Stockler must:

  1. Explain in a comment why and what this task is waiting for. If waiting for a Ticket to be done, you must link it.

  2. Set a reminder, see ✅ When to use? .

<aside> ⚡ When updating the status to 🟠 2 - On Hold, a notion automation will automatically set a reminder to @Today which you can then easily update to an adapted value.

🕰️ While waiting for the Reminder to appear is an excellent time to write the On Hold reason in the comments.

❓When to use it?

✅ When to use?

  1. You’re waiting for information or work from a team not using ‣ as primary work organisation. Typically, you’re waiting for a non technical ticket to be done.

Estimate how long the task will take, better under estimate than over, and snooze till then. You should default to one working day, and if external communication is required you can default to 7 days. If work is tracked by a Notion Page (as Ticket), mention it in the comment.

  2. You’re waiting for an external event to happen. For example if a task must be done after a software received an update.

Set date at which you’ll check if the software was updated.

  3. The task must not be made before a specific date. For example, updating a retailer commission that changes at a specific date.

❌ When not to use?

🧘‍♂️ How to not forget 🟠 2 - On Hold tasks

Reminders should be bulk managed in your daily ‣ cleaning and therefore you ❌ should not use ringing reminder ❌. You may use a ringing reminder on a Task or Ticket if and only if this table is not part of your primary work organisation. For example, as an ‣ member you’re allowed to set a ringing reminder on a ‣ but not ‣ or ‣.
